The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills

This was the last Mills Corporation mall to be built in the United States, and it’s the only one here that isn’t owned or managed by Simon Property Group. In proper Mills Corp style, the interior is divided into five distinct, themed “neighborhoods” and features many of the stylistic details and adornments that the company has become known for, including polished and patterned wood floors, whimsical elements like a glove-shaped seat, and custom lighting fixtures.

In 2014, non-retail businesses began occupying the mall, although one of the largest tenants of this type, ITT Technical School, closed its location only two years later. 2020 has already seen the announced closure of both JCPenney as well as the Cinemark Theater, and the food court now stands completely vacant.
