stop living in your head. Most of what happened would’ve probably been invisible to observing eyes. There were no lottery wins, no exotic vacations, no career-defining achievements. It was more a case of me being finally willing – in spite of having the same relentlessly frantic schedule as always – to stop the mental treadmill for a few moments here and there and really listen to what I had been unknowingly trying so hard to drown out. I began the year with two goals: one that I believed would be fairly achievable, and one that I had decidedly less confidence in reaching. Somehow, I managed to reach both of them. The first goal was to share as much of my previously unreleased music as possible, and if you’ve been following any of my social pages or this blog to any extent over the course of the past twelve months, you’re probably already very familiar with Project: Archives. The second goal involved completely paying off at least one component of the debt I incurred during a major historic home renovation project I undertook several years ago. Still not sure how I managed to pull that particular hat trick off, but lo and behold – apparently Christmas miracles do happen after all. If 2017 was a year of retrospection, 2018 will be a year of looking forward. I still have a few loose ends to tie up with Project: Archives, which we’ll take care of in short order, but from there my focus will be on carving out a new path forward. I wish I could tell you more about what’s coming, but as was the case with this year, all will be revealed in due time. 🙂 Thank you all SO much for your support, likes, comments, shares, encouragement, and influence – including those who might not even be aware of the roles they played this year. If the coming year is a blank canvas, may each of you create a masterpiece of your own. Happy New Year!!]]>
